At Lighthouse Church, we hold firm to a set of foundational beliefs that guide our faith journey. Aligned with the principles of the Association of Pentecostal Churches (Bund Freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden in German), of which we are affiliated, these beliefs shape our identity and purpose.

  • The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible Word of God.
  • God: We believe in the existence of the one God, who was, is and remains in eternity and in three persons: the Father, the Son and the
    Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus: We believe in the virgin birth, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension and continual intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He will come again for the rapture of His church and the completion of all things.
  • Redemption: We believe in the fall of all mankind to sin and in redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ as the only means of attaining personal salvation. This experience, known as repentance and being born-again, is a work of the Holy Spirit and takes place through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus.
  • Baptism: We believe that baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit should be administered to all who have repented and wholeheartedly believe in Christ as their Savior and Lord. (Mark 16, 16)
  • Church: We believe that all true believers belong to the church of Jesus Christ. We believe that every born-again and baptized Christian should be a member of a local biblical church.
  • Baptism in the Spirit: We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4.
Fruit: We believe that a true Christian strives to live a sanctified life through the power of salvation and that he is recognizable by the fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5:22.
  • Spiritual gifts: We believe that God works in the church through gifts of grace, ministries and works (1 Corinthians 12:4-6) for the benefit of believers, for equipping for ministry and for the edification and preparation of the church.
  • Healing: We believe that salvation includes the healing of sickness through divine intervention.
  • Resurrection: We believe in the resurrection: in eternal glory for all who accept the divine salvation in Jesus Christ through faith, and in damnation for all who pass by Christ indifferently.
